3 Easy Vegan Meals: Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, whether you have it first thing in the morning or later in the afternoon. Intermittent fasting has become a huge lifestyle change that many people are making.

Whatever time you choose to break your fast, here are 5 simple meals that you can include to start your day:

  1. Peanut butter chocolate protein oatmeal- This is such a great meal for many reasons that it’s hearty, loaded with fiber, packed with protein, and loaded with healthy carbs to give you just the right amount of energy for the day.

    • What you’ll need:

      • 1/2 cup steel cut oats (preferably organic)

      • 1 1/2 cups of any non-dairy milk of your choice

      • 1 scoop of Chocolate Raw Meal Protein Powder

      • 2 scoops of Powdered Peanut Butter

      • organic raw honey or agave nectar

      • cinnamon

        • Bring a pot of water to a boil, add in your oats

        • Lower the setting to medium heat, stirring occasionally

add in your protein powder, peanut butter powder

        • top if off with some raw honey or agave nectar then cinnamon

  2. Avocado Toast- Ok, you knew I had to put this on here because it’s just too good and too easy to not have!

    • What you’ll need:

      • 1 pieces of Ezekiel sprouted bread (any bread of your choice that is vegan and organic)

      • 1 whole avocado

      • 2 tablespoons of organic hemp seeds

      • 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil

      • 1 dash of everything but the bagel sesame seasoning

        • Toast your bread to your liking

        • Cut avocado in half, scoop it out onto the toast once it’s ready, half on each slice of bread

        • top it off with one tablespoon of hempseeds for each slice of bread

        • top each slice off with a few dashes of the seasoning

        • last, but not least, top it off with a little extra virgin olive oil drizzle

  3. Smoothie Bowl- This is one of my favorite ways to break my fast because you can really put anything you want in this.

    • What you’ll need:

      • 1 frozen banana (preferably organic)

      • Fruit of all kinds that you have, preferably berries, can be frozen or fresh, and, again, preferably organic

      • 1 tbsp of chia seeds

      • 2 tbsp of flax seeds

      • 3 tbsp of hemp seeds

      • 1 handful of spinach/ kale

      • 1 cup of non-dairy milk of your choice

      • Ice

      • 1/3 cup Organic granola or muesli

      • Agave nectar or organic raw honey

        • Blend all ingredients except granola/ muesli

        • Blend it slowly until it’s a texture that’s not too watery and not too thick, you may need to add water and more milk if it’s too chunky

        • You may also add a nut butter of your choice or protein powder for extra nutrients

        • Once it’s to the texture that you’d like, go ahead and put it into a bowl or mason jar

        • Top if off with granola or muesli

        • Drizzle some agave nectar or raw honey
